RASHID Centre for the Disabled in Dubai offers wide range of services towards students with special needs that has attracted the corporate sector to support the organisation and continue their cooperation smoothly.
In a recent move, Al-Fowz Holding has donated two buses to the Rashid Centre to provide more access to the students from various routes in Dubai through its existing fleet. Currently the centre has a fleet of 15 buses to serve the needs of the students’ transportation.
The buses were presented after the visit of Samer Zuhair Al-Fowz, CEO of the Group who recently visited the Centre and toured the facilities and showed great satisfaction with the services being provided and the programmes and treatment offered to benefit over 300 students.
Maryam Othman, Director of the centre, expressed her profound appreciation for the generous gesture and initiative, stressing that the integration of public and private organisations contributions towards humanitarian organisations is very welcome since the cost of running a centre is extremely high.
Samer Zuhair said that he was very happy to see a huge mix of nationalities benefiting from the programmes offered at the centre. He said that it was a good opportunity for him to donate to a worthy cause and that he was keen to continue donations in the future to provide a better future for the students at the centre.
