Maria Soledad Lopez Olivares, Ecuadorian co-founder of GoRaymi, was one of the many finalists who showcased their innovative ideas and responded to the curious audience’s questions at the celebrations of the three-year countdown for Expo 2020 Dubai.
She and other selected innovators participated in the event, which was held at The Beach. The Live team of Expo 2020 organised the evening at the open beach, drawing thousands of residents as well as tourists, who made the most of the many fun activities such as music, dance, fitness challenges, and a raft of contests.
The massive attractions at the event included a number of stalls offering a sneak peek into the history of World Exposition, through videos and photos. Visitors, both expatriates and tourists, spent the evening taking photographs with a cavalry of mounted horses and drones by Dubai Police besides many pop-up food outlets.
The Gulf Today spoke to Olivares, who was part of a group of over a dozen innovators under the global “Innovation Challenge Programme”, who participated in the three-year countdown…
