The UAE became the first country in the Arab world to attain the status of the world’s No.1 passport when its residents gained visa free access to over 90 per cent of the globe.
By virtue of its population mix, the UAE and especially Dubai has been home for migration seekers most of whom are expatriates and besides their modern-day migration motivators, the policy landscape around immigration is an interesting phenomenon. “Dubai is a unique and sought after destination for people from all over the world to enjoy a superior quality of life.
However several expats consider the West as a permanent or retirement destination when the subject of repatriation comes up. We deal with people from across all nationalities including those who hail from the region’s Arab countries and of course South Asians and others. Our aim is to provide them with recommendations based on their exact needs, circumstances, objectives or priorities.”
Thus spoke Vrinda Gupta, Managing Partner of Vazir Group — The Global Immigration Consultants who shed light on the local market where the number of migration seekers is gradually increasing over the course of the past years for top global destinations like Canada, Cyprus, Greece and Turkey.
“With the rapid change in technological trends in everyday life, people are now more equipped with information about all opportunities within access, which in turn prevents them from being misled by brokers or ‘third and fourth-tier consultants’.
“We have seen a rapid increase in interest for Canada as a world-class destination for whole family,” said Vrinda Gupta, Managing Partner, Vazir Group. “The Canada Entrepreneur’ programme is a Government of Canada initiative to facilitate migration seekers and encourage them to create more job opportunities rather than occupying one. Through this programme individuals as well as groups of up to 5 people can apply for a single startup idea,” she pointed.
Being in the business for over 15 years, the firm has been specifically catering to the Asian markets through its Dubai office for the last four years. “Dubai is a unique and sought after destination for people from all over the world to enjoy a superior quality of life. However several expats consider the west as permanent or retirement destination when the subject of repatriation comes up. We deal with people from across all nationalities including those who hail from the region’s Arab countries and of course South Asians and others. Our aim to provide them with recommendations based on their exact needs, circumstances, objectives or priorities,” she added.
Canada is known to be one of the safest countries and Vazir Group’s prime product as they have successfully processed over 4000 applicants over the year to the destination alone.
“Many people seek increased mobility that their current passport does not allow them, for which we recommend places like Greece and Cyprus immigration which is the only EU passport which one can acquire through investment within as little as 6-months and enjoy visa-free access to 166 countries”
Gupta pointed that “there is still not enough knowledge amongst migration seekers about the available options to get a second passport. Many live with the preconceived notion about USA or UK being the most powerful passports, which they undoubtedly are…but by how much is the question. United States is ranked at #3 for mobility and allows citizens visa free access to 171 countries, Cyprus on the other hand ranks #6 on the same list and offers visa-free access to 166 countries.”
“By understanding the applicant’s objectives, be it migration, easy mobility or a just a second passport, we offer different programs with different highlighting opportunities as,” she said.
The firm, besides hosting a range of options for client’s to choose from, also offers exclusive programs to Cyprus, Greece and Turkey at less than one-fourth of the required investment in some cases. “Traditionally one has to spend 2.9 million Euros roughly in real estate investment and costs to acquire a Cyprus citizenship, however with our financing program, which is exclusive to us, applicants can now become Cypriots for a mere 688,000 Euros. Similarly we have exclusive programs for the Greece ‘Golden Visa’ and Turkey for roughly half the cost,” she added.
Migration seeking expatriates for Cyprus in the UAE are majority of businessmen from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon and other countries.
Responding a question, Gupta pointed that “Our differentiator in the local market is our approach, which is based on the client’s requirements and not merely on what we have to offer. Essentially at Vazir Group on size does not fit all.”
