Over 200 firms that used the services of volunteers saved over Dhs4 million last year by engaging volunteers in an array of different services in Dubai, while 6,900 volunteers performed 62,000 hours of activities.
In an interview with The Gulf Today, this was disclosed by Saeed Al Tayer, CEO of Social Planning and Development Sector, Community Development Authority (CDA) on the sidelines of the 3-day Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition (DIGAE) being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
