PAKISTAN Youth Forum (PYF) of Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) has organised a tree plantation event to encourage environment friendly behaviours amongst the younger members of the community as well as to mark the Year of Giving 2017.
The two-hour event included introduction to gardening for the students and a sapling planting session for all the attendees. The attendees included students from Pakistan Islamia Higher Secondary School Sharjah and Sheikh Rashid School Dubai.
“The kids enjoyed spending time with nature and are going back with useful knowledge about taking care of their environment,” said Zeeshan from Sheikh Rashid School, Dubai.
The main goal of the event was to raise awareness of caring for the environment and giving back to nature among school children. This is in-line with PYF- PAD fundamental goals of enlightening, empowering and encouraging the youth through education.
“It is very good to see such enthusiasm and love for nature among the school children. It is vital for us as a community to educate them and create awareness about landscaping and gardening at this age, which will instill social responsibility among them in the coming years,” Ghaus Rahman, in-charge of the nursery, said.
However, contributing to Dubai’s aim of becoming the happiest city in the world, PYF of Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) celebrated the World Happiness Day at Mediclinic Hospital, Dubai.
