ESMA executes new regulation for lubricating oil

The Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology (ESMA) and Gulf Standards Organisation (GSO) have implemented new regulations relating to the minimum requirements of the approved standards for lubricating oils in vehicles, across the Gulf region.
The service categories of API CG-4, CF-4 and CF are no longer approved for sale in the UAE and are no longer listed in the new GSO regulation. Other countries including Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have also implemented the same minimum standards.
