4th solo exhibition by Pakistani artist

Melody of Life, an exhibition of paintings based on different aspects of music scenes, instruments and harmony created by the sounds have been opened at Studio Seven art gallery in Dubai.
Nazar Haidri, a prominent Pakistani artist, has brought 23 of his paintings done in the technique of cubism and pointillism to portray life around music as all canvas paintings with acrylic.
The month-long show was opened by Moazzam Ahmad Khan, Pakistan Ambassador in the UAE in the presence of art enthusiasts from different communities based in Dubai.
“There is no doubt that artworks especially paintings by Pakistani artists like Nazar Haidri have been receiving huge response all over the world and UAE has no exception with people residing here from all over the world,” he said and added that “it is our duty from the platform of Pakistani missions to show our commitment towards the artists as they are the true ambassadors to showing the true face of Pakistan to the outside world.”
The ‘Melody of Life’ was the fourth solo exhibition by Nazar Haidri in Dubai – DIFC in Dec 2013, Mussawir Art Gallery in Aug 2014 and Art Centre in 2015 – while three were solo in Pakistan besides participating in different group shows in the USA.
“The art lovers in Dubai have been very supportive especially for me as response in the first two solo exhibitions was enormous and people from various communities also admired my paintings using different techniques,” he told The Gulf Today on the sidelines of the opening night.
Haidri started his career in 1961 when he graduated in the first batch from the Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi.

However, Jamal Ahmed Ferozie, Director Studio Seven told The Gulf Today that the multinational community in Dubai has been admiring Pakistani artwork from paintings, handicraft, handmade furniture and other household objects.

“Through the platform of Studio Seven in Business Bay, Dubai we are providing a wide range of designing solutions to local community from graphic designing, interior and furniture designing and others besides organizing activities to bring artists from different communities. We had many group painting exhibitions, shows, workshops and other activities to engage the different segment of the society with the support of well-establish artist based in UAE,” he said.
