Centre for the differently-abled students move Kim Kardashian

SPECIAL needs students at the Rashid Centre for the Disabled got their turn to impress the US reality show star Kim Kardashian by showcasing their spell-bounding performances of dance, art and music.
In her recent visit to the Rashid Centre, Kardashian was received by Maryam Othman, Director General of the centre, in the presence of a handful patrons of the organisation.
Kardashian toured several parts of the centre and attended a brief presented by Othman about the centre and the services provided to the differently-abled children. There was also a presentation about the rehabilitation programmes offered by the centre for the differently-abled children to making the children more active members of society. A brief was also presented about the conditions of the children in the centre.
Kardashian had the opportunity to see some of the artistic works made by the centre’s special needs children.
During her visit, she watched a documentary about the history of the centre, which especially covered what had transpired in the last few years. She also had the opportunity to learn about the activities and programmes applied at the centre for integrating differently-abled children in the local society. There was a presentation about the techniques applied in dealing the special needs children at the centre. The centre’s officials explained to Kardashian the local and international events which the children of the centre participate in, highlighting the importance of such participation in developing the abilities of the children.
Kardashian expressed her pleasure about the visit and the time spent with the differently-abled children. She said that she wished she could spend all her stay with the children.
Othman expressed her pleasure for the reality star’s visit. She said, “There is no doubt that the visit of the superstar Kim Kardashian to the centre is an important recognition for the good reputation of the centre at the local and international levels. This visit also highlights the humanitarian side of the Kardashian. All of us at the centre are very happy for the kind visit by Kardashian and the time spent with the differently-abled children. Her good interaction with the children made them happy.”
She added that visits by superstars like Kardashian spotlight the important role of Dubai in the world. “The visit is also very important in raising awareness about for the rights and needs of the differently-abled children,” she added.
