Pak artist’s solo exhibition opens

THERE are multiple threads binding the UAE and Pakistan together; perhaps the most strong and abiding one is the profound cultural and civilisational commonality that runs through our lives, outlook and social fabric.
This was stated by Moazzam Ahmad Khan, the Pakistani Ambassador, while addressing the gathering of “Metanoia”, a series of symbolic abstract paintings using multi medium by Abu Dhabi-based Pakistani artist’s Zari Kaarina Jafri exhibition.
The solo exhibition was held at and in collaboration with the Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Art Hub and Poetic Strokes.
The show also saw diplomats from the US, the Netherlands, and dozens of other countries as well as a large number of art lovers.
He said that art and culture are an integral part of any civilisation and an important barometer of the progress and development of a society. “Pakistani art is today an eclectic mix of the traditional and modern, the old and new. Over the years, Pakistan has produced several eminent artists, who have made a mark for themselves, both nationally and internally,” he said.
