Pak community shows love for UAE

THE Pakistani community residing in the UAE has celebrated the 45th National Day of UAE with fervour and in a phenomenal manner.
The Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah (PSCS) organised a huge gathering which was attended by families from community members residing in Ajman, Sharjah and other Emirates. The gathering celebrated the 45th National Day by cutting a huge cake with national colours, while schoolchildren recited the national anthem to express their solidarity with the country.
The event was hosted by the newly elected PSCS office-bearers led by Khalid Hussain Chaudhry, president, and an oath-taking ceremony was held ahead of the celebrations. The ceremony and the rest of the event was attended by Samar Javed, Acting Consul General in Dubai and Northern Emirates, prominent Sharjah-based community businessmen and others.
A family bazaar, live barbecue, music and different indoor activities were also part of the evening in which families and children took part with a great deal of excitement.
Another major meeting was held in Grand Excelsior hotel in Dubai to pay tribute to the UAE heroes. The evening was hosted by Noorul Hassan Tanvir, a prominent community member and supporter of Pakistan’s current ruling party. The event was also attended by Emiratis from different government departments, community businessmen and supporters of Pakistan Muslim League-N hailing from different GCC countries.
Addressing the gathering, Noorul Hassan Tanvir shed light on the UAE’s achievements and praised the leaders. He also urged community members to express their solidarity with the country in their own capacity besides promoting the soft image of Pakistan. “People should learn from the Rulers of UAE whose diligent efforts in every sector have resulted in tremendous success not only for locals but for expatriates from over 200 countries,” he said.
Another event to celebrate the UAE 45th National Day was organised by the office-bearers of former president Pervez Musharraf’s party (All Pakistan Muslim League) UAE-Chapter in Dubai.
The chief guest at the cake cutting ceremony was Muhammad Amjad, general secretary APML while workers from different Emirates were also gathered.
