By Jamil Khan | DUBAI

THE activities to mark Commemoration Day were observed throughout the country by government departments, organisations as well as schools.
In this regard, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa), visited the Rashid Centre for the Disabled (RCD). He was received by Maryam Othman, CEO of the centre, accompanied by the administrative and media staff. The visit coincided with Dewa’s activities to observe Commemoration Day.
Al Tayer opened a special arts classroom, and helped the students draw and colour some Dewa-related drawings. The Dewa head and students read and took a group photo. Furthermore, everyone observed a minute of silence, praying to Allah to bless the souls of the nation’s martyrs.
Othman presented to Al Tayer an honorary trophy in appreciation of his continued support to the Rashid Centre for Disabled .
