PAKISTAN’s Ambassador in the UAE has asked the expatriate community to come forward and strengthen the community schools with their financial support. The idea is to further improve the standard of the education and the overall condition.
“We know every well that the community schools in which majority of the Pakistani students study charge the least fee from students. But still there are many who can’t even afford that,” said Muazzam A Khan, Pakistan’s Ambassador while addressing the reception hosted by the Pak Khyber Wing.
The dinner reception was hosted in honour of the newly appointed ambassador and the newly elected body of the Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah in Dubai and attended by members of PKW based in Dubai, Sharjah and Al Ain.
In his speech, the ambassador assured the community members especially Pakhtun, that he had been looking at school issues and others very closely. The aim was to uplift the conditions of schools with the support of affluent community members. “There are many issues that cannot be resolved overnight. Some issues take time and community support besides raising fingers. Our efforts are on the right track and soon everyone will see the difference,” he assured.
The ambassador pointed that since he took charge a large number of Pakhtun community members have approached him to resolve their issues. “This reflects that the (Pakhtoon) are more concerned and frequently visit the Pakistan mission in Abu Dhabi,” he said.
He also took serious notice of exorbitant charges obtained from the community to provide online passport and other services and assured stern action against all those who are found doing this malicious practice.
Khyal Zaman Orakzai, President of Pak Khyber Wing (PKW), a part of Pakistan Association Dubai, assured the ambassador and others they would work together for the vast interest of Pakistan and their community.
