Pak consulate launches online system

PAKISTANI community members who seek various consular services at the consulate in Dubai have been asked to book their appointment through its online portal. This will save their precious time and help officials smooth the overall operation.
The consulate recently launched the online appointment system for visitors and they can now avail of a wide range of services including renewal of machine readable passports, obtaining a new one or renewal of the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), attestation of documents, etc…
“On an average, daily 1,500 to 1,800 people visit the consulate for various consular services on a first come first served basis. This resulted in congestion outside the decades-old consulate building. Through the online appointment system people will be asked to book their desired time and come only 15 minutes ahead of their scheduled appointment. This will not only help community members save their time but also assist the consulate staff in facing less congestion and smooth the existing services,” said Samar Javed, Acting Consul General of Pakistan, on Sunday.
