Tailors keep their machines running

WITH the Eid fast approaching, segments of society offering different services for the festive season are gearing up to clear their rush of orders to make their customers happy. Eid Al Fitr is an occasion often defined by happiness among the faithful, with everyone tending to wear new clothes bought from either readymade garment shops or tailors.


For members of the Pakistan Community in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, the Eid holiday is not complete without new clothes.
Speaking to The Gulf Today on Wednesday, a number of professional tailors based in Mussala area of Sharjah shared their experiences of dealing with the Eid rush.
Muhammad Nawaz, who has been in the profession of tailoring for the last three decades, said that the Holy Month of Ramadan sees the number of customers almost double, although they are busy throughout the year…
