Companies to set up Dhs100m

BAHRIA Town (BT), the largest private real estate developers of Pakistan, and Bait Al Batterjee Medical Company (BAB), have signed an agreement in Dubai to set up hospitals and healthcare facilities in Pakistan.
BAB, the founder of Saudi German Hospital in Dubai, will set up three hospitals with the initial investment of Dhs100 million in Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore in BT premises.
The documents to setting framework for the definitive agreement were signed by Malik Riaz, Chairman BT and Sobhi Batterjee, President of BAB, in the presence of senior officials from both sides at the Saudi German Hospital in Dubai on Thursday.
Media personality Malik Riaz assured The Gulf Today that the joint venture between the SGH and Bahria Town will ultimately benefit the common people of the country and no one will need to go abroad for treatment.
The Bahria Town management has already been running different medical facilities in its existing gated communities, and these will be operated and run by the BAB as the new agreement.
