Earth Hour 2016 on March 19

FOLLOWING a landmark year for climate change, Emirates Wildlife Society – WWF is urging residents to take climate action by switching off lights for one hour and switching on their social power by donating their social feeds to Earth Hour. The Earth Hour 2016 will be celebrated on March 19 from 8.30-9.30pm.
Talking to the media, Reem Al Thawadi, Communication Director, Emirates Wildlife Society noted that this year, the body is mobilising masses through various social media platforms to spread awareness and became ambassadors of Earth Hour.
Last year was the hottest year on record. It was also the year countries that countries gathered, at the historic summit in Paris, to work against climate change. With the world at a climate crossroads, Earth Hour 2016 is the time to shine a light on climate action and build the foundation for a better future for the planet and future generations.
