Kids’ positive play habits put UAE on top

CHILDREN in the UAE as well as in GCC countries are spending a lot of time on digital devices while time spent on physical play has also improved compared to last year.
The global index result positioned UAE in the first rank regionally as the best country with positive play habits in children in the region in all the three age groups (2-5 years old, 6-8 years old and 9-12 years. Globally, it ranks 3rd in the (9-12) age group and 4th in (2-5) and (6-8) age group.
This was revealed in a survey conducted by Fun City, the neighbourhood family entertainment centre.
They announced the fourth edition of Fun City Children’s Play Index with brand new research data from developed global nations such as UK, Australia, Sweden, Singapore and China, in addition to the regional countries of the UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Qatar at a press event in Dubai.
