Renowned Spanish artist shares skills with SN kids

STUDENTS of the art section of the Rashid Centre for the Disabled learnt numerous tricks of moulding clay into fine art pieces. Maite Defruc, a renowned Spanish artist, visited the centre, where she interacted with the students and shared her art skills.
The Spanish artist, who is visiting Dubai to attend a number of events, is also part of a fundraising ceremony to generate funds for Rashid Centre. The exhibition and fundraising event titled “Art Without Frontiers” will be held at Dubai Creek Park on Feb.24.
During her visit, Defruc toured various classrooms to review the services and rehabilitation programmes that cater to the needs of over 300 students with special needs, who are enrolled at the centre.
