New retail destination embodies Dubai’s vibrant future

A NEW and chic lifestyle destination in the heart of Dubai has sprung up to open its doors of 30 top notch brands to visitors. City Walk is the latest entrant to Dubai’s growing list of retail destinations.
Meraas, a Dubai-based holding company, organised an exclusive tour for local media to witness the newly constructed urban chic lifestyle destination, which commands the backdrop of the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa. Officials from the firm announced the city walk-1details of their upcoming incorporation of top premier brands in their retail facility, City Walk which is set to welcome over 60 new tcity walk-2enants in 2016. Recently, over 50 per cent of the new tenants opened doors to families in search of a relaxed shopping experience.
A key highlight of the new portfolio is the destination’s focus on presenting visitors with the best of local and global fashion brands. These include Karl Lagerfeld, Diane Von Furstenberg, Maje, Serendipity3, Armani Exchange, M Missoni, Tory Burch, Coach, and many more.
The urban lifestyle destination will also witness the launch of an impressive local and international mélange of dining options, such as restaurants with a Michelin-star lineage alongside idyllic social spaces and cafes.
With the new additions, City Walk is set to comprise refined residential, entertainment, hospitality and wellness options in one integrated space. These will complement the destination’s lifestyle personality. Over one million square feet are dedicated to retail while the destination’s total built-up area will span more than 10 million square feet. To provide additional convenience, the ample underground parking will offer 1,800 bays that are accessible through strategically located entry points.
Saleh Al Geziry, Vice President, Retail Marketing, Promotions and Recreation at Meraas said, “We are delighted that City Walk has emerged as one of Dubai’s favourite destinations following its launch in 2013. Nestled between two of the city’s most prestigious neighbourhoods on Al Safa Street, in close proximity to Sheikh Zayed Road and the highly frequented Jumeirah Beach Road, City Walk is situated in a prime location offering an unobstructed view of Dubai’s world-famous and mesmerising skyline. Through a conveniently connected street system with direct links to Dubai’s highway network, the masterplan establishes corridors to the city’s well-known landmarks.
