Rashid Centre students organise ceremony to mark Al Nasr Club victory

DUBAI: As a part of strategic partner, the students of Rashid Centre for the Disabled organised a ceremony to celebrate the recent victory of Al Nasr Club at the GCC Clubs Championship 2014 against Oman’s Saham club.
The ceremony was attended by students who expressed their happiness on the overwhelming victory in the presence of Ahmed Hashim Khoury, vice-chairman of the board of directors of  Al Nasr, Khalifa Bin Darri, executive director of the Dubai Foundation for Ambulance Services and Dr Walid Yousef, chief executive of MicroSave Care International. During the ceremony also attended by Mariam Othman, director-general of the centre, the group of students Rashid Stars performed a number of musical activities as part of the celebrations.
At the end of the ceremony the guests and students cut a large cake painted with emblems of both Rashid Centre for the Disabled and Al Nasr Club.
Khoury expressed his happiness to be part of the celebrations along with the students of the centre.
Mariam Othman, director-general of the centre, also expressed deep happiness in victory.
However, Sheikh Juma Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, managing director of Rashid Centre for the Disabled in the presence of Dr Walid Yousef, chief executive of MicroSave Care International, announced that the Rashid Centre for the Disabled became the first of centre in the world with 100 per cent free of harmful viruses.
Khoury, while addressing a press conference, said, “Today we are honoured and pleased to announce the fruitful cooperation with MicroSave Care International to achieve the title of first humanitarian charity services centre for the disabled, completely free from all kinds of bacteria, microbes and viruses, thanks to the product and advanced technology being utilised in the centre as Dubai was among the first to employ them in institutions,” he added.
