PAD – Arabic Language Course

PAD starts Arabic language course for community members

DUBAI: Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) has decided to start a 10-week long Arabic language course for the community at its premises from this week.
The course based on the practical exercises including reading and studying grammar has been devised by the religious affairs committee of the association.
Abdullah Adnan, secretary of the committee, while talking to The Gulf Today, said that the association has been engaged in the past to hold such short courses for the community.
“This course was planned to start in March but due to unforeseen reasons now we got all the preparations sorted out and the first class will be held today (Wednesday) at the association premises,” he added.
The association has been organising a variety of events for its large number of community members residing all over the UAE in general and those who are living in Dubai in particular.
Earlier this month, the association informed its members through social medias, about the initiating the course and according to the officials, so far around 80 people have been registered.“This 10-week course is only for male students and soon another batch will be started
for women as enquiries have been sought in this regard,” Adnan said.
The course will be conducted by a team of 4 including an Arabic language teacher and three of his assistants to carry out twice a week classes.
According to the officials, the purpose of this designated course was to teach the students how to read and understand the government documents as well as other helpful materials while staying and working in the UAE and any other countries with majority of population speaking Arabic.
“The association is planning to launch the second batch soon, as more and more people are seeking to be enrolled. One of the major reasons to became attractive for majority is the nominal fee which is only Dhs150 for the whole course to benefit the community,” Adnan added.
