DUBAI: There’s some good news for people looking for the perfect gadget for nifty house cleaning: the UAE has just witnessed the launch of two robotic solutions to provide cleaning with no hassle.
The iRobot Corp, the leader in robotic technology-based solutions, announced on Thursday its new range of floor-cleaning robots for local households. Engineered for cleaning performance and convenience, iRobot’s home robots are revolutionising the way people clean their homes, with more than 10 million home robots sold worldwide.
In a press conference held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Marc Dinee, Vice President Sales and Marketing, EMEA, Home Robots business unit at iRobot, told the media that they are expecting the UAE will be a major market for their products as technology conscious consumers will adopt these solutions for a healthier lifestyle.
“The UAE is an ideal market for our robot products, especially in homes, hospitals, defence and security as well as remote communications. We are projecting 10 per cent annual growth till 2017,” he said.
With the accelerated pace of urban life and the gradual expansion of people’s living space, more and more UAE households are willing to purchase advanced intelligence products. Such a solution allows consumers to invest their time doing activities they want to do and less time doing dull and time-consuming housework.
As the only home robotics company focused solely on developing robotics technology, iRobot created the home robot category with Roomba more than 10 years ago, and understands that consumers have many different cleaning needs. The award-winning iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaning Robot made practical robots a reality for the first time, and the newest Roomba 800 Series increases the efficacy of floor cleaning. iRobot’s other new launch, the Scooba 450, is the only hard floor-scrubbing robot that tackles stuck-on mess.
