Rashid Centre to unveil pictorial book

DUBAI: Rashid Centre for the Disabled is all set to start a number of events to celebrate its 20th anniversary and also announced it would unveil a pictorial book ‘Rashid – through their eyes’ later this month in a ceremony to be attended by dignitaries and patrons of the centre.
The ceremony will be held at the Cultural and Scientific Association Dubai on April 30.
The book includes pictures and quotes of prominent personalities who visited the centre over 20 years and lauded the founders and the management of the centre for providing rehabilitation and training to children with special needs.
The bilingual book, in both Arabic and English, also incorporated exclusive photos of prominent personalities who shared their joyful moments with groups of children in the centre.
The personalities who visited the centre over the last 20 years were sheikhs, senior Emirati personalities, politicians, educators, artists from Arab showbiz international stars were part of the 220 colourful pages.
The book will be distributed during the celebration organised by the centre on April 30 at the Cultural and Scientific Association located in Al Mamzar, Dubai.
The spokesperson told The Gulf Today that they are planning a huge ceremony to celebrate the Centre’s 20th anniversary, in which more than 800 guests from different walks of life will attend the event. Besides the guest, families of the children with special needs will be present to admire the performances of Rashid Stars.
