SGH Group to set up 2 more hospitals

DUBAI: The Saudi German Hospital Group is setting up two more hospitals in the UAE to provide healthcare facilities to critically-ill patients from all over the world seeking specialised medical care.
This was announced by Dr Reem Osman, CEO of SGH Dubai, while addressing a function celebrating two years of the hospital’s operations and honouring seven prominent employees as Star of Year staffers.Image
The ceremony was attended by Engineer Sobhi Batterjee, President and Chairman of the Saudi German Hospital Group, Javed Jalil Khattak, Consul General of Pakistan, Dr Ali Singhal, Head of Dubai Police Clinic, Buti Garwas, Head of Security, Dubai Airport, Nabil Khouri, CEO Dubai Commercial Bank, among others.
The Stars of the Year awards were given to Nati Harding, Director-Nursing; Dr Hany Gadalla, Director-Polyclinic; Dr Ahmad Moussa, neurology department; Dr Samir Yacout, neurosurgery department; Adam and Salama, marketing; Rehana, materials management and Noor Haya, laboratory.
Dr Reem Osman said the hospital had in a short span of 2 years, established its importance as critically-ill patients were being referred to from countries in the Far East due to the availability of its professional team of specialist doctors.
“With every passing day, the confidence level of patients has been increasing. This is the only hospital in the private sector in Dubai that deals with trauma cases on a daily basis,” she said, promising that the facility would extend its operations in view of the fact that the number of patients to the hospital was witnessing a rapid rise.
The hospital is also extensively engaged in a number of CSR activities in conjunction with various Dubai-based charity organisations.
During the course of the function, a couple of patients, while presenting their testimonials to the audience, praised the services and overall performance of the hospital.
The SGH Dubai with 315 beds and a multi-speciality facility is also capable of treating all kinds of extremely critical surgical and medical cases. Among its patients are many celebrities from Europe, GCC, India, Pakistan and various Western countries.
