‘African Safari Experience’ attracts huge turnout

SHARJAH: In conjunction with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sahara Centre has announced that its annual spring promotion will run till Feb.2. The event sees the popular shopping and leisure destination hosting one month of activities and great prizes under this year’s Safari theme: “Hunt for bargains like never before”.
Customers visiting Sahara Centre during the promotion have the chance to scoop up some amazing prizes. Shoppers spending at least Dhs200 are eligible to enter a raffle to win a family trip to Kenya, inclusive of a Dhs15,000 allowance, along with a pair of fantastic Land Rover Defenders which two lucky winners will be driving away.
Speaking about the spring promotion, Akram Ammar, managing director of Sahara Centre, said: “The centre’s Sharjah Spring Promotion is an annual event. We try to bring new and exciting experiences to shoppers and visitors. Hunt for bargains like never before” transports shoppers to Africa, the land of exotic wonders, with mall-goers also able to enjoy exciting African entertainment and activities throughout. With great offers on your favourite brands, the best bargains are yours for the choosing.”
Also during the month, Sahara Centre will be hosting enticing in-mall events under the banner “Sahara Safari Adventures”, including African acrobats, African Hunters Parade, Djembe Workshops and more. The show started on Jan.16 and will run till Jan.29 from 6 to 9pm in the mall’s promotion area.
Sahara Centre has recently undergone a large expansion which includes the addition of 120 stores and various recreational improvements for shoppers, thrill-seekers, and movie lovers. Visitors will be impressed with the mall’s changes and additions, with the enhancements being made to better meet customers’ needs and make their experience even more rewarding.
Ammar, on the Centre’s launch of the new identity – “Like Never Before”, commented that “the tagline ‘Like Never Before,’ embodies Sahara Centre’s new identity and reflects its contemporary outlook. It was the slogan of choice as this is the first time that customers in Sharjah have experienced what we are offering. We now have an even wider range of additional facilities for retail and leisure customers, including a new fine dining area, a total revamped cinema, a bigger theme park with Adventureland, along with the latest rides and games, all of which add a new dimension to the mall. In total, we have increased the centre’s total leasable area by 60 per cent,” he added.
He further pointed that there is no doubt that the Centre has a new identity with the completion of its second phase with a world-class array of renowned brand retail outlets all contained within an innovative architectural structure.
