“The Hamriyah Green Team was set up with the objective to create awareness and develop green consciousness and practices of green-clean environment within the HFZ besides implementing various corporate social responsibilities with the support of various partners. During the last 3 years, the team organised a number of events like workshops on heat stress management, marine day and others to engage laborers,” he said.
Through these initiatives and with the support of different partners, over 12,000 workers were benefitted.
Hamriyah She-Q club in collaboration with many organisations specialised in various countries across the Middle East as well as within the UAE had organised a number of events for the capacity building of QHSE (quality, health, safety and environment) professionals. The activities included health awareness workshops, fire safety drills, basic first-aid demonstrations, mobile crane inspection and safety awareness, working safely in radiography, and other useful workshops with the help of industry experts which benefitted around 1,600 workers during the last three years.
Shedding light on the upcoming free camp, Dr Alleem said that the camp will be held in collaboration with the DM Healthcare LLC, Dubai within the facilities of the registered companies. “As part of the free health camp, a mobile unit with 2 doctors and 5 paramedical staff along with a team of 7 volunteers from the Hamriyah She-Q Club will conduct major tests like blood sugar, body mass index as well as collect other vital data of workers’ health-related habits to suggest better lifestyles,” he said.
