PPW enthralls families with events for 67th Independence Day

DUBAI: Recently, the Pakistan Professionals Wing (PPW) has organised a series of events to bring the families of its members under one roof and celebrate the Eid Milan and country’s 67th Independence Day.
The event was held at a local hotel in Dubai and attended by a large number of PPW members, their families and friends besides dignitaries from the community residing in the emirates.
The PPW, a wing of Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD), has a large number of professionals such as bankers, auditors, doctors, accountants and others as its members and provides a platform for them to mingle with each other on such social events.
This year the PPW members together with Eid Milan celebrated the country’s Independence Day with a renewed pledge of their contribution towards prosperity of the country and well-being of the Pakistani community living in the UAE.
Mir Waqas Ellahi, Chairman PPW, congratulated the members and said that Eid Milan party is one of the major events that PPW organises for its members and their families every year ever since its inception. He also thanked all the sponsors who participated in the event and donated valuable gifts for various lucky draws.
“Besides the Eid Milan Party, the PPW also holds many other annual events like the family picnic and cricket match in addition to arranging interactive talk sessions on special topics, keeping in view the greater interest of the community. Such sessions have been very productive for the members,” he added.
Iqbal Maladwala, member of the PPW executive committee, said that the participating families had an opportunity to take part in a variety of activities like singing the national songs and win the fabulous prizes.
Earlier, a group of children in different costumes ranging from modern attire to traditional dress presented a show for the audience.
Three of the winners were given special prizes for having the best attire.
