DUBAI: Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs is all set to organise a star-studded gala dinner, in partnership with Pacific Ventures, to raise funds through the auction of personal items donated by a number of Bollywood stars.
The event will be held on June 7 at the Palm Atlantis Hotel in Dubai under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Social Development.
The Al Noor-Pacific Ventures gala dinner will not only be packed with a full schedule of entertainment and high profile guests, but will also hold for the first time in Dubai an auction for some Bollywood stars’ valuable possessions. Image
Commenting on the gala event, Isphana Al Khatib, Director of Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs, said that “we are proud to tie up with Pacific Ventures this year to bring together this event that is bound to be the talk of the town, and one which we hope will generate proceeds to finance our centre’s various events and educational scholarships. I am pleased to announce that popular Bollywood superstars such as Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone have agreed to donate their personal possessions to be auctioned during our gala dinner, and I am confident this initiative will ensure great attendance and an interactive event,” she said.
She further pointed that in addition to Bollywood superstars’ ornaments, Al Noor will also be auctioning sports items signed by legendary football star Maradona and tennis champion Roger Federer, which have been generously donated by the stars especially for Al Noor and in support of the children of the centre.
Parvez Khan, Chairman of Pacific Ventures, commented on their partnership with Al Noor by saying that “this project is a CSR initiative, but now as per our pledge taken earlier this year, we will do everything possible by our dedication and alliance to help Al Noor and its children to look forward to becoming eminent participants of the society. This auction that we have arranged to raise money for the Centre is just another gesture from our side to show how much we truly care and to make sure that the children are bestowed with everything they need in the course of time.”
With a line-up of spectacular entertainment, raffle draw, and a live auction, the black-tie event is set to dazzle the over 800 guests who are expected to attend and enjoy the breathtaking venue and an evening full of surprises.
