Fundraisers held to support Rashid Centre

DUBAI: Support poured in from different segments of the society when people attended a travel fair held at Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre.
The fair, a part of its ongoing fundraising campaign, was organised by the Rashid Centre in partnership with Dnata, who set up various stalls in the premises to offer a range of attractive holiday packages for summer 2013.
Marym Othman, general-director said, “Those who benefit from these offers will ultimately help Rashid Centre as portion of the fee from the holiday packages will be donated to the centre.”

Charity auction
A group of showbiz personalities from Middle East and India participated in a charity auction held in Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre as part of a fundraising initiative.
The auction was supported by Swiss luxury watch brand Zenith and a private collector who donated a dozen pictures to raise funds for the centre.
Sheikh Juma Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, chairman of the Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre appreciated the support of showbiz stars who gathered not only to support children with special needs but also showed great interest in the centre.
Ahmed Hashim Khoury and Iqbal Abdullah Khoury, founders of the centre, were also present on the occasion.
The artists who participated in the auction Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Tushar Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Manoj Bajpai, Sani Lyon, Sophie Chowdhury, Mustafa Zahid and the Arab showbiz was represented by Fifi Abdou, Maysa Moroccan and Lamita Franjieh.
