Rossettie Brothers explore UAE in off road trip


 EVERYBODY has at least one chance in his/her life to act upon the directions of his/her heart and do something special to fulfill the dreams, leading to physical satisfaction as well as mental relaxation. 

Paulo Rossetti, the elder brother of Rossetti Brothers, was speaking at a press conference at Le Meridien Al Aqah in Fujairah on Saturday.

The Rosette Brothers including Paulo 40, Andrea 38, and Marco 32 had commenced their off-road trip from Sila in the Western Region on Jan 16 with the aim of creating a new category in The Guinness of World Records for the longest off-road trip, 1200-kilometers.

Their target of completing the entire journey was not achieved due to the restricted area on the UAE-Saudi Arabia border and they traveledrossetti-brothers 1000-kilometer, instead of 1,200 kilometer.

Rossetti Brothers belong to Milan, Italy was affirmative that they had set a new record in the UAE for the longest off-road trip, on a voyage of personal and geographical discovery they termed ‘Around The UAE ­ Off-Road’.

Shedding lights on the objectives of their 7-day voyage, Paulo Rossetti who is also working as a student-development coordinator in UAE University, said that it was their aim to create enthusiasm among the people especially the students to explore the beauty laying everywhere in the UAE.

He also stated that everyone has some dreams to achieve unique targets and follow his/her heart and the voyage was such dream for them.

“We want that the students should have visit different terrains of the UAE with all safety measures and explore what they had yet to see with their own eyes,” he said.

Rossetti mentioned that during their 7-day voyage, had witnessed almost all terrains of the UAE from the desert to mountains with all forms of the weathers with the help of latest technology including three laptops, three satellite GPS (global position system) tracking, load of foods and excellent amount of spare parts for their two KTM quad bikes and a Ford Expedition support vehicle.

The off-road trip was started from Sila covering Rub Al Khali (the empty quarter) along the UAE borders and ended at Le Meridian Al Aqab Beach Resort Fujairah on Jan 24 where the team has planned to spend a couple of days to recover.

Rossetti said that they had recorded almost 60-hour DVD quality videotape as a camera was mounted at the front of one the quad bike to collect witnesses of their journey. “It will take sometime to edit the video and besides sending a copy to Guinness World Records, a tape along with photos, log book, peoples’ signatures and GPS tracked map will also be submitted before the UAE government to acknowledge this as public record in the national archive,” he hoped.

He appreciated the hospitality bestowed of people throughout their journey as all three were unable to speak Arabic and enjoyed the voyage.

Rossetti had also appreciated the sponsors who had helped them to create a record of off-road. The sponsors were including KTM for quad bikes, Ford give the latest Expedition big vehicle, for ground support throughout the journey and Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort.

The General Manager Le Meridien Al Aqah, Patrick Antaki also spoke in the press conference and said that Le Meridien Al Aqah is proud of the achievement of Rossetti Brothers to explore and promote UAE and its natural beauty.
